AFRICA – The commander of the Sudanese army on Monday designated the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as a rebel group and ordered their dissolution, while this faction clashed with the army in bloody confrontations that hindered the transition to a civilian government and prompted the United States to call for a ceasefire.
